BGA Member Driven Events
The Barista Guild encourages members and their companies to hold events that support community building by encouraging communication, understanding, and respect between Baristas. The BGA is here to support our members in their efforts, and we have a program called Member Driven Events that provides assistance in promoting these types of community gatherings. If you'd like to hold a BGA Member Driven Event, review the pre-qualifications below, fill out the form and your friendly chapter rep will be in touch with you soon! Have questions about hosting? Contact your chapter rep HERE.
Pre-qualifications to request to hold a BGA Member Driven Event:
Company must have at least one BGA member on staff to partner with the BGA Regional Chapter Rep on events and qualify for the use of the MDE logo. Yes, it is that easy!
How the process works:
Step 1: Fill out the online request form. It's ideal to submit your request a minimum of 1 month prior to your event date.
Step 2: The SCAA membership team will confirm your BGA membership status, or if you're not a member yet, will give you a call to help you get signed up (please assume a 48 hour window for reply).
Step 3: Once your BGA membership is verified, the SCAA membership department will email your request to your regional BGA Chapter Rep who will then contact you directly. (please assume a 48 hour window for contact)
Step 4: Chapter rep will offer support, answer questions, get you the official BGA Member Driven Event logo, help with online promotions, and follow up with you post event
Important details to keep in mind while planning your MDE: Company must obtain written approval to use the MDE logo for each event where a partnership is proposed from their BGA Regional Chapter Rep.
The Event, with regards to BGA logo usage and brand representation, must be coordinated with the Member Company's BGA Regional Chapter Representative from point of Event approval through Event execution. The BGA Chapter Rep will ensure that the Member Company receives support from the BGA in the form of online promotion and BGA literature/hand-outs.
